My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola is an adorable 10 month old purebred Alaskan Malamute. Poor Lola came from a breeding facility where she was never let out of her kennel. She loves people but is uncertain about what she should do. She was never taught about collars or leashes, or walks or being inside a house. Up until the time that we rescued her from this sad situation she had never taken a ride in a car or seen a park. She loves attention and loves to be petted and hugged but does not understand what having a family is all about. She loves to snuggle and will WOOO at you for attention; she is learning that people aren’t so bad and that walks can be fun.

Every day Lola opens up a bit more and has become quite a little clown. She has gone from cowering in a corner shaking with fear to singing happily when her foster mom comes home. We will be working on basic obedience and housebreaking. Lola has lived outside for her entire life and getting used to a home is a big adjustment. She is even freaked out by a TV but before you know it she will be totally comfortable being someone’s lap Malamute. She is as cute as a bug and very smart, and her FAVORITE things are hugs and pets. She would rather be loved on than even eat a cookie…which is another of her favorite things. Lola is looking for that special family that will be patient and willing to spend time with her. She seems good with kids, and is ok with “some” other dogs. Like most Malamutes she is particular about her friends. She will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her shots before her adoption.
