Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sophia was dumped off at the shelter because she was too old to breed anymore, so she was now trash. She is skinny, unloved, mistreated and neglected. She is in need of veterinary care and nobody wants to spend a dime on her. She was once valued by her owners...because she produced puppies and puppies and puppies for their personal profit, but now she has no value...so, she was delivered to the shelter to be put to death as her reward for her years of “service.” She is depressed, broken hearted, and confused about what she could have possibly done wrong to deserve this. She has a golf-ball sized lump on the inside of her leg (a hernia) that needs to be addressed and she has a severe ear infection that needs to be treated.
There is no hope for a dog like this in shelters...she is older and they think she is deaf.....people want the cute spunky ones, not her. Well, we have news for them...CBR-West wants her! And we are honored that she "chose us" to help her start her new life. Sophia will make someone a great companion and she will be forever grateful for a warm bed, good food, and lots of loving to live out her golden years. She so deserves the good life. Can you provide that for her? If you are interested in adopting Sophia, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.cascaderescue.org/adoptapp_west.html). Sophia’s adoption fee is $200, which includes all vetting, vaccinations, microchip, and spay.
