Here's what the humans have to say about me:
3-8-09 Updaate on Charlie - he's here in Maine!
Some notes from his foster mom to go along with new beautiful pictures, "Sam has weathered our winter with style and grace..even the power outages..But we are fine now. He has been a wonderful love of a dog..no aggression and so sweet and loving..likes to ride in the car, prefers not to be left alone for very long (not much danger of that here) likes to spend his nights down stairs in 'his room'. Walt pointed out that he is herding us..and once identified I could see that that is exactly what he is doing...no matter which way we step to get around him, he swings his head right in front of our legs and cuts us off..he's really quick!! and it is very effective !! he only does this when he wants us to carry out his wishes. He has been shedding some and I've been brushing him daily...he will make an excellent family pet. We have had some smaller people here and he's been just wonderful with that and with the cat. I even think Emmy the Cat will miss him." We have been working with the vet on Charlie's cough (darn cold air in Maine!) and he is doing a lot better. His housetraining is coming along as well.
2-7-09 It turns out Charlie is going to need a home as an only-dog. He is sweet and calm and will make a wonderful family pet; he's just not sure how to behave with other dogs. He has bounced around enough, so please contact us if you would like to be his last (forever) home.
1-9-09 Meet Charlie- yet another poor dog that wound up in a high kill shelter with an euthanization date of Jan 9th- we are working to get him north so he is safe but please can you give him a loving home so he never has to go through this again? Charlie is about 3 years old but a calm gentleman for his age. He seems to love everyone and is about 45 pounds. Just look at his eyes- he knows he needs an angel.
