Tiberius's Story...
My name is Tiberius, and I'm a Shepherd mix, possibly with something larger breed in me, like Mastiff. But you needn't be scared of this big dog, even if you're a small person, like a child. I'm a gentle giant type, a big puppy, really. I love to meet people, even strangers, and I love to meet children. Everybody seems to love my black muzzle and my sweet face, so I always give a smile in response to all the “oh, what a handsome dog” or “what a good-looking guy” remarks I hear. Yes, flattery will get you somewhere. I love to be hugged, and I love it if you pinch my cheeks and squish them forward, making my muzzle look like a squishied-up towel. Give me a big smooch. I'm good in the car and make an excellent passenger. I like other dogs and I'm a friendly guy. I'm such a sweet and loving boy. I enjoy walks and I'm good on the leash, especially for such a big boy. See, I'm about 75-80 pounds. I can act like a big puppy sometimes, and I really like to chew, so make sure there are plenty of chew toys around for me so I don't find some “toys” of my own to chew! I like milkbone treats and take them very gently. I enjoy pets and love it if you scratch my back.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiberius, a Aldie German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Aldie, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
