Yogi Bear's Story...
Hey there Booboo! My name is Yogi Bear, and just like the original Yogi, I'm looking for a cave (OK, a home—I am housebroken, you know) and a buddy like Booboo to call my own. I'm 7 years old and up until a short time ago I had a family, but they split up, and that left me in the dog house. I'm a loyal and gentle guy. If you'll be my buddy, we can go on picnics together just like Yogi and Booboo did—only we won’t steal our picnic baskets from unsuspecting campers like they did. I enjoy having my belly rubbed and leaning up against you to show what a good buddy you are. I know how to sit on command and would love to learn new tricks if you want to teach me. Most of all, I want a buddy to snuggle up with on cold winter nights. I don't discriminate against kids or other dogs 'cause they make good buddies, too. If you'd like to hibernate with a sweet Yogi this winter, call FOHA to learn more about me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yogi Bear, a Aldie Newfoundland/Belgian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Newfoundland/Belgian Shepherd for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Newfoundland/Belgian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Newfoundland/Belgian Shepherd breeders who help with Newfoundland/Belgian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
