Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"DAISY" is an 11 year old purebred Border Collie. She has been well cared for by the same family her whole life, but was relinqished because her owner died, and his wife has moved into senior housing. Daisy is active, friendly and very sweet. Although she seems to really enjoy the company of children, she needs to be in a quiet, adult only home--she would be great with visiting grandkids though, and would be an excellent choice for an active retired person or couple and would do well with another older dog. Because of her age, we've had a complete veterinary examination and bloodwork done, and Daisy is in good health except for some age-related health problems, like arthritis, for which she is currently on Rimadyl. Daisy is being fostered in Maine.
You MUST first fill out an adoption application AND have a home visit BEFORE being considered for any NEBCR dog. As this process can take time, we recommend that you complete these first 2 steps BEFORE inquiring about a specific dog.
For more information on Daisy, or other dogs we have available for adoption, please see our web site www.NEBCR.org.
