My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is the face of someone who is ready for love. Lucky has been waiting for it for his whole life! He has the biggest, sweetest, gentle and precious soul ever - you can just see it in those eyes! This boy is a social butterfly who is always ready to make friends, full of confidence. He gets along fine with other friendly and sweet dogs and doesn't mind a play-mate one bit. He walks great on a leash and is very smart and responsive to treats. Before coming into rescue Lucky was shot in the head. As a result of this injury his cochlea was damaged and this has caused him to tilt his head. He also has some partial nerve damage on that side of his face and he is unable to hear out of that ear. Our vet determined that none of these injuries harm his quality of life or his mobility and he will not require any special care for these issues. This is just a part of who Lucky is as a 4 legged person, and in no way stops him from being a life-loving potential best friend for a wonderful and lucky adopter. Lucky is currently weighing around 45-50lbs and approximately 3 years old.

This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog is pending testing for heartworms. The adoption fee is $375 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
