Brendan's Story...
N/M, 8 years, Shih tzu, 20 lbs

Hello there, I am a very distinguished older gentleman whose name is
Brendan, although I answer to Brynnie. I am a friendly Shih Tzu who
came to MaxFund because my owner could no longer take care of me. I
feel sad having to leave my loving owner, but I am happy to be able to
go home with someone who can give me as much love as my owner did.
Would that be you?

I love to converse with other canine friends here in the small dog
room, and the staff and volunteers are quite a cheery and generous
group of people. I have not been around cats and would prefer a home
with older children.

I am a gentleman with good manners and am very loyal. Once I get to
know you I may flip over for a good old fashion belly rub...doesn't
sound too gentlemanly, does it? But what can I say, I love belly rubs.

See you soon, just look for the gentleman in the corner reading the
Wall Street Journal (heh, heh).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brendan, a Denver Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Denver, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
