My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adult Female and Adult Male, Purebred Chihuahuas
Tink (Tinker Bell) and Tino (Valentino, notice the heart on his head) are as cute as they come! Both weigh in at 4.5 pounds. They are bonded and must be adopted together. They are good with cats, dogs and older kids.

Tink is short haired and turned one on March 11th 2009. She is spayed and has not had any puppies. Tink is very social and friendly with people. It takes her a little while to get used to new dogs but she can live with other dogs, no problem. She is living with four other dogs besides Tino (up to 55 pounds) now and is doing fine.

Tino is long haired and beautiful. He is neutered. He is two years old. We don’t know his exact birth date but we gave him a valentine’s day birthday (2/14/07). He is very timid with people he does not know. Once he decides you are ok, he is very loving and trusting. He depends heavily on Tink to decide whether people are “safe”. He does not do very well with small children or people who move at him quickly. He does growl, bark and sometimes nip if he is frightened. Tino loves all animals and immediately befriends other dogs.

This pair would be a lovely addition to a person’s life who has plenty of time for them. Their house training is going well as long as they have access to the backyard, via open door or dog door. Tink loves to hang out in the yard and chase squirrels and act like a big dog. Tino wants to make sure his favorite person is always in sight. They are real love mongers!

If you would like to have these two precious little dogs to love on, please fill out an application. $400 for the pair.

Home visits and references are required on all adoptions. If you would like more information about our rescue and our dogs, including more photos, visit our website at www.sunrisefoundationltd.org.
