Pele's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Pele's Story...
Pele is very active and requires lots of play time. He is a mover and a shaker and would be bored as an only cat. Pele does not scratch furniture but needs many scratching toys to sink his nails into. He is easily trained with simple no commands and removing him from unwanted behavior. Pele is very confident around visitors and loves to show them how handsome he is. He is affectionate and has a loud purrrr. Pele is wonderful with the newborn baby that comes to visit. He watches over him and stands on duty to make sure all is well. We dont know how well he would do with toddlers to young children. At this time Pele does not do well with dogs but loves to have lots of cat friends. Pele will give you many enjoyable moments and will "help" with household duties. His favorite toy is a string tied to a stick and he likes anything with melted cheese on it!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pele, a Des Moines Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Des Moines, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Des Moines.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Des Moines already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Des Moines breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Des Moines paves the way for another one to be saved.
