Princess's Story...
Princess has lived in a condo for most of her life, so she is flexible for a house or apartment. She's used to sleeping on bed with her current owner, and likes to wear doggie clothes. Princess is good with children as long as they don't try to grap her, so she would probably be best with kids over 5 years of age only. She gets along with other dogs once she gets to know them. Princess is 8 years old and weighs 15 pounds.
Note: This dog is a
"Guardian Assistance Placement" dog, meaning he/she is being cared for in a home that is not affiliated with Ratbone Rescues. The guardian has supplied vet records and signed an agreement giving Ratbone the right and responsibility to rehome the dog, but Ratbone does not have physical custody and cannot otherwise vouch for any of the information provided.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Princess, a Jacksonville Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
