Dutchess's Story...
This fabulous girl is named Dutchess and she is a beautiful all white Great Pyrenees mix who is estimated to be approximately 3 years old. She was picked up wandering as a stray so we are learning more and more about Dutchess' personality every day. Dutchess is new in her foster home and her housebreaking status has not been 100% determined just yet; however, she does appear to know to go to the door when she needs to go outside. Dutchess seems to be a very quiet natured girl who wants to be around people. She knows her "sit" and "down" commands and walks well on a leash. Dutchess is a large breed dog who will require a home that will comfortably accommodate her size. Currently at 95 pounds, Dutchess is thin and will probably fill out to 125 pounds or more.

If you are interested in meeting this beautiful DUTCHESS, please feel free to contact her foster parents: Terry and Susan at 397-0110 or 334-8907. You may also leave a message at turner9115@sbcglobal.net. Dutchess looks forward to hearing from you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dutchess, a Overland Park Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
