My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Una was named after a character in a movie that her foster mother saw. In the movie, Una was a little fairy that buzzed around her favorite person constantly looking for approval, wanting always to please and do what is right. Just like the fairy in the movie Una buzzes around radiating love and joy and always checking back to see what you want her to do next. She is dainty, sassy, and an absolute joy!

Una was surrendered to one of our local shelter partners by a woman who bought her from a flea market to try and rescue her. One of Una’s front legs was unusable and tripped her at every attempt to play, but now that it has been removed and hasn't stopped her from running and playing.

Una is deaf and is learning some sign language; she knows "go to bed" (she is crate trained) she also knows "go outside" (she is housebroken), she will come to you when you open your arms wide and clap your hands. She also knows sit; and she also knows that when you cup your hand below her chin and scrunch up your face as you shake your finger at her that she is in big trouble.

Una gets along well with children, dogs, cats, and truly loves people. Una also loves car rides. Una is a perfect little lady wherever you take her.

She will begin heartworm treatment soon and will be available for adoption mid-May. Una is being fostered by Pam in Lake City.
