Layla's Story...
Layla is a tame cat who was dumped in a feral colony. She was so frightened that the vet staff thought she was feral. After settling into her foster home, she has turned into a sweet, affectionate and playful little cat. She gets on well with other cats, but would also be OK as the only feline in the household. If you think you have the right home for this pretty little girl, please contact Alley Cat Guardians at 209-567-3570 or by email at adoptions@alleycatguardians.com.

Layla is spayed, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/FELV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Layla, a Modesto Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Modesto, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Modesto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Modesto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Modesto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Modesto paves the way for another one to be saved.
