Orchid's Story...
Female, born to a semi-feral mom and only knew one human being until she
was 9 months old and brought in to the vet for spaying. What she really
needs is a loving, quiet, indoor home. She will probably bond with one
person and may always be shy of others. She has started to show affection for me which took a long time, and I think she could become very affectionate. She is totally sweet and so lovely. She looks like a show cat. She has the cutest little white tip on her tail. If you can be patient with her, you will be rewarded I am sure. Orchid now follows me around and begs for me to hold her either up on my shoulders or on my lap. She rubs her head and snuggles. She is still a one person cat but what a special cat she could be for that one special person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Orchid, a Ellensburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ellensburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ellensburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ellensburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ellensburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ellensburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
