Miguel's Story...
Meet Miguel! This little guy is quite the DOLL!!! He is a Beagle/Dachshund mix. He’s pretty scrawny but he’s a very small dog. I think the first picture makes him look bigger than what he really is. He is just way too cute. He’s very attentive and looks at you like he’s not sure why you are there to see him. I told him why I was there to see him!! He seemed interested too!! J This little guy came to the shelter as a stray. Nobody came to find him unfortunately. He was very scared when he came to the shelter but you would never know that now!!!! He is full of energy and loved the pets that I had to give him! Miguel is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. He is READY TO GO!! Come and visit him or forward his email if you can’t help him right now. He deserves a great home to show his love!!!!!!

Please call the shelter ASAP at 502-633-0009 to save Miguel!!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miguel, a Shelbyville Beagle/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Dachshund for sale in Shelbyville, or seeking a Beagle/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Shelbyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shelbyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shelbyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Dachshund breeders who help with Beagle/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shelbyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
