My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adonis is an approximately 1-2 year old black male. Adonis was a stray picked up by animal control as he was wandering the streets. Adonis is a very handsome man with a very handsome personality. Adonis is good with other dogs of both genders, as well as with children and cats. He currently resides peacefully with two Cane Corso Mastiffs and three other Great Danes. He gets along with all. He has also met some new friends. He has interacted with two Dogue De Bourdeax Mastiffs, one Great Dane, one pitbull, and a cat. He had a good time meeting new friends. Adonis is a happy-go-lucky Dane: Full of Dane leans, tail wags and "pet me, pet me, pet me." He is starting to understand what toys are and is having a good time playing with toys. He's highly food motivated and will do anything for a treat. He has learned sit, here, off, focusing, and touch. His foster mom is working on the command "down." For a stray, he has wonderful leash manners and listening skills. Adonis is housebroken and crate trained. He is up to date on all his routine vaccines and has been tested for heartworm and is negative. Adonis does like car rides; however, this could be because he does get car sick. His foster mom recommends no food or water at least an hour or two before he goes for a ride. Adonis would do fine as an only dog, but would do best in a home where he has a buddy. His foster mom does believes he would be a wonderful family companion; however, since we do not have a history on him, he will not be placed with children under the age of 10 years. Adonis is a very sweet, loving dog. All he wants to do is be part of the family and be loved. He will make a wonderful companion.
