Tony's Story...
I was wandering around outside for quite some time before one of the volunteers here decided to get me off the streets. I was too timid to let him pick me up so he borrowed a kennel and within a couple of hours I just couldn’t resist the food inside the kennel so then he was able to bring me in here. I was NOT a happy cat but after a couple days I settled down a bit and let the staff touch me and pet me. I was in pretty rough shape but looking a lot more handsome now I’ve had a little TLC. I’m still a bit shy but getting better as I get used to more attention each day.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tony, a Mission Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Mission, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
