Special Needs:

Hello World! My name is Velma, and I need a new home! I was found as a stray, very skinny, dirty, scared and sad. No one claimed me at the shelter, so now I am a San Diego Bulldog Rescue bullie! I have been eating a LOT and feel so much better. I love to play with my foster friends, and I love to walk and run! I am a very healthy girl, despite the lumps on my beautiful head....they are harmless 'collagenous nevi,' they don't hurt, won't get any bigger or smaller, and my foster mom said they make me special and unique:-) I like being special!
I need a home with a fenced yard to play in, no little kids because I want to play with them and I can jump! I would love a brother dog that likes to play, but no sister dogs please...sometimes us gals just can't get along. I am housetrained and know how to sit nicely for you. I can tolerate more exersize than your average bulldog, so you can take me out for longer walks, but I also love my naps, and hanging out. Will you please be my new best friend and make sure I never get lost again?
Love, Velma

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Velma, a San Diego English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in San Diego, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
