found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Rescued from a backyard breeder who was going to shoot Eskie and his brother when they were older puppies he could not sell. Eskie is a Mini American Eskimo and will mature to be about 20lbs.
Eskie is timid and shy after not being handled much but he has coming around really well in his foster home with lots of love and attention. He is still quite submissive and may urinate when approached but he does enjoy the attention he is still just a little unsure. Eskie is good with other dogs and pays no attention to cats, he would likely be fine with children but should go to a quieter home with no small children running around full time. As part of his training an effort should be made to have him socialize with children on a regular basis. Eskie requires a calm, patient owner who will love him to bits but also make a strong effort to continue working on socializing (with other pets and people of all ages) and training Eskie. He is crate trained and working on house training, he has general manners. Eskie has amazed us all by watching the felines in his foster home and has taught himself to use the litter box! He now has his own litter box so the kitties don’t have to keep sharing theirs. Eskie has been groomed by CK’s Pet Grooming in Mississauga - http://www.mississaugapets.com/ckspetgrooming.html . The Mini Am Eskimo is generally not suitable for a first time dog owner.
The Eskimo breed is not for everyone, they can be stubborn and protective of their family, they need a lot of socializing and a firm but understanding owner to train them. If you are not familiar with this breed RESEARCH before you apply to adopt. Here is some Am. Eskimo breed info to get you started - http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/americaneskimo.htm
