Murphy's Story...
I'm a sweet guy named Murphy. I'm likely a Corgi/Shepherd mix with lots of other breeds mixed in as well, so I'm kind of a Heinz 57 type. But don't think of me as just some plain brown dog. Sure, I'm mostly brown, but I'm kind of like brown sugar--very sweet and yummy. I'm 3 years old now, so I'm done growing. I have little legs that enjoy going out for walks. I enjoy interacting with people and receiving lots of pets and affection. I've lived with a family before, and I really liked spending time with their children. I have a little anxietyabout being left alone but have really overcome it in my foster home. In order to make the transition into my forever home, I would like an owner that is home most of the time and has other dogs that will keep me company. In return, I'll be a little lovebug. While I enjoy the company of other dogs, I'm definitely not a fan of cats, so I'd do best in a home without any felines. I can't wait to find a new forever home where I'll be a cherished family member for the rest of my days. I'm in foster care, so please ask to see me. (Please Note: I can only be adopted in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. There will be NO exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murphy, a Aldie German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Aldie, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
