Chip's Story...
Here is a sad story. This poor guy was adopted as an 8 week old puppy. The family just expected him to grow up to be a perfectly mannered dog. They did not spend the needed time with him to train him, had not taken him to any obedience classes but still expected him to be perfect. Well, before too long they tossed him in the back yard - they were done with him and at a year old they wanted to know if they could trade their dog in for another one - as if Chip were just an unfeeling objet. Chip is a great dog, he loves to play ball and will make an awesome family member - if given the chance he has never had. A simple obedience class would work wonders on this guy - one hour a week for 8 weeks, plus some work at home...that is all!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chip, a El Segundo Golden Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in El Segundo, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in El Segundo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Segundo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Segundo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Segundo paves the way for another one to be saved.
