Kayla's Story...
I’m small in size but I’m big on purr-sonality. I’m Kayla. When you come into the FOHA communal cattery, you’ll be sure to find me – I’ll be the sweet little cat rubbing up against your leg or head-butting you to say, “look at me, down here!” I’ve got an adorable little way of sashaying around the cattery – I’m a pretty kitty, and I know it! You just can’t imagine how soft my long gray and white fur is to pet and touch. I always look like I have a special smirk on my face, like the proverbial cat that ate the canary! But no canaries here! I do, however, have a little bit of extra gums and teeth set back just a little bit on one side of my mouth, which results in my cute “you can’t guess what I’m thinking” look. But I bet you can guess what I’m thinking. Yes, I’m wishing for a forever home of my own! You guessed right!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kayla, a Aldie Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
