Kali's Story...
Kali. 3-5 yo Calico Persian
Kali came to us with five other Persian cats. Her elderly caretaker called Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue when she realized she could no longer keep up with their grooming needs. Now Kali is living in a nice foster home while she awaits her forever home. Kali was partially shaved when she got here. The daughter of the woman surrendering the cats had done a nice job of shaving her back. Sadly, many of her toenails were still grown into her toe pads, and the rest of her body was solid mats and feces. We'd like to thank Charlene of Fo Paws Grooming Salon in Davis, CA. She completed the grooming on this girl while she was sedated for her spay.
Kali is so lovely! Just a tiny little girl with big copper eyes. As you can see she's still feeling a little nervous in her new surroundings. Her foster mom says she's gotten more confident and is now exploring her new surroundings. She is being fostered in a private home with the other three females. We were told Kali is only two, but our vet thinks she's more like 3-5. We believe she is the mother of the other girls and one of the boys.
Fostered in the Greater Sacramento area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kali, a Davis Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Davis, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
