My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm a sweet and happy gal who is about 10 months old (9/15/2009).

I love getting people attention and to be rubbed and petted - it feels so nice! I give kisses back at times - 'cause my foster Mom sure does like to snuggle face-to-face quite a bit.

I am mellowing a bit as I get older and am very loving - I would do well with most children, but supervision will be needed to see how well we mesh together.

I still like to play a bit and I'm in that chewing phase - so some appropriate chew toys will definitely be needed!

I am crate trained and housetrained. I have also started basic obedience training – I’m quick to learn and I also "Wave" - I'm kind of a natural at it!

We’ve gone on some walks around some of the community parks and that is a blast. I wanted to say hello to everyone that passed by! It is a lot of fun to get out and about - I hope my new home will take me places and let me check out all the parks in the area... and then some (aka ROAD TRIP)! I am the first to try to jump in the “dog mobile” any time our foster mom opens the door- even if she is just getting something out of it - which then is a bummer!

I may be solid black, but I have a heart of gold. Give me just a few minutes to show you how sweet and happy I am - I'm sure I can make you happy! I will do best with a male canine companion if another dog is to be in my future!

I've been spayed, dewormed, am up to date with vaccinations, and am on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
