Petey's Info...

I am purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Petey's Story...
Petey is a 3 month old American Pit Bull Terrier, possibly a mix. Petey was found as a stray in Kentucky and taken to a high kill pound. Another shelter in KY pulled him just before his time was up, then asked us to take him. Of course, we could not say no to that sweet pittie face!

Petey is a great boy....he LOVES other dogs, especially his friend Gidget (listed as well). They came to us together and would love to go home together, but we will separate them if needs be.

Petey is doing great on house breaking and is FULLY crate trained. Petey needs work on the leash, but is trying real hard. Petey is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He will be neutered prior to adoption.

If you are interested in Petey (and possibly Gidget), please contact our rescue for an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a Oak Lawn American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Oak Lawn, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Oak Lawn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Lawn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Lawn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Lawn paves the way for another one to be saved.
