Spot's Story...
My name is spot and I’ve had a rough patch these last few months, see my owner got old and sick and had to go into the hospital. I thought it would just be for a bit but it turns out that he’s going to have to stay there for the rest of his life, which I’ve been told is not very long. I stuck by him through it all and I’m going to miss him so much. So now I’m homeless and I too am kind of old, I’m scared that I’ll never have a home again. I’m really quiet and I love to just hang out. I would listen while you told me about your hectic day or gossip about your friends and I would just be there whenever you would need me for any reason! I’m old and I won’t take up very much space, please come take me home with you. I still have so much love and affection to share with a kind hearted good person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spot, a Missoula Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Missoula, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Missoula.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Missoula already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Missoula breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Missoula paves the way for another one to be saved.
