India's Story...
India was rescued from a high kill shelter and then brought to the Toledo Humane Society where she sat for a long time. They had her on the list for euthanasia so they asked us to help and take her. She has been abused as well and has seperation anxiety and has allot of energy. She needs a fenced in yard and an active adopted family. She is great with kids but if she doesnt get exercise she will get it inside the house. She MUST run every day. She is very sweet and fun with the family and gets along with all other dogs as long as they arent aggressive. She is good with children and would require some minor training with begging. She is still getting used to being with people and she is superexcited about it. If you are an active person and would like a jogging mate please send us and email at almosthomebullies@yahoo.com She is worth it!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

India, a Dayton Greyhound/Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound/Basenji for sale in Dayton, or seeking a Greyhound/Basenji dog from a breeder in Dayton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dayton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dayton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound/Basenji breeders who help with Greyhound/Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dayton paves the way for another one to be saved.
