Hi, I am Gingerella. I am a Tortie mix. My vet says I am at least two years old. I have been for my spaying and vaccinations. My foster mom rescued my three kittens and me from under an a/c unit. I once had an owner but, she moved away and left me alone at the apartments. I could not understand why she just left and didnÂ’t take me with her. I had to look for food to eat and a warm place to sleep. It was so cold those winter nights and so hot in the summer. I had to run for my life when dogs, mean kids and adults would chase me away when I begged for food. I soon had a litter of kittens, but they all died. Again, I had more kittens and I struggled to feed them. I was so hungry myself. They lived but, but soon died from living as strays. Then I had my last litter of kittens, Honey, Nate and Noah. We were living under an a/c unit when one day two ladies came and helped us. Now, I live with my foster mom. She prays for us everyday to get just the right forever home. I know some day it will happen. I have to keep hoping and not give up. I will live in this cage until that day when my new owner will come and take me to my forever home. I canÂ’t give up. Thank you for caring. Ruth Brown C.A.T. (Cats Are Totally Special) Email: Home: 423-472-8000 Cell: 423-503-4131

Animals have been combo tested, given age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for worms, and have been spayed or neutered. Kittens too young to have been altered will be placed with a certificate for the spay/neuter (rabies will be extra).

Our adoption fees start at $85.00.  The first step in the application process is to complete an application. Once the application has been approved, you will be required to complete a contract to finalize the adoption. The contract stipulates that you must keep the cat/kitten indoors and may not declaw.

Please join C.A.T.S. representatives on Saturdays at the Hixson PetSmart on Route 153 from 12-5. We always bring a variety of cats and kittens for adoption. With each adoption, we offer a free 3.5-lb of kitten or 4-lb. bag of Hill's Science Diet cat food and a small sample bag of Iams' cat or kitten food, and a book of coupons. If available, each adoption will also come with a pillow, toy, or some other cat accessory.

If you would like to complete an application beforehand, please send an e-mail request to Betty at  We look forward to helping you find a permanent, furry addition to your family!
