Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kacie is a German Shepherd/Black Labrador Retriever Mix. She is Black/Brown. Kacie is 3 Years Old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She weighs around 45 lbs.
Kacie is a very loving girl. She is the kinda dog that would warm you on a cold night. She likes to sit next to you and snuggle. She might be 45lbs but you wouldn't know it, she's a true gentle giant. She just really appreciates a kind hand, she loves extra attention and really loves to be brushed she'll sit right next to you enjoying the grooming. Kacie loves to play outside, but if you take her out on a leash she does her business quickly and then wants back inside. Kacie simply enjoys being around people, she loves the attention they give her. Kacie is a bit shy at first with strangers but warms up after a hand sniff and she'll give her approval by giving you a little kiss on the hand or nose if you lean down towards her. She's great with children because you can wrestle with her and she doesn't mind. She loves going for walks and she's excellent on the leash so a nightly walk would be right up her alley. Kacie really enjoys just following you around the house, she has a very light step so you can hardly know she's following you.
Kacie would do well in any household. She loves children and adults, it just takes her a few minutes to get over her shyness with new people. Once the shyness is over her personality blooms. She loves to go for walks, and does excellent on the leash you can't even tell that she's on the leash. So a family that does nightly walks around the neighborhood would be great for her. She also does great in the car, doesn't fuss or anything just lies down in the backseat waiting to get to the destination.
We don't know how she would do with cats, but are putting her as no cats because she likes to dominant the smaller dogs so we just want to be cautious.
Kacie is not aggressive with other dogs, she's has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors. There is a $95 adoption fee for puppies, and a $85 adoption fee for Adult/Senior Dogs.
