Jillian's Story...
Jillian is a beautiful petite adult cat. She is the one with the ears that stand straight up. I can’t say I have ever seen a cat that their ears would do this! How cute is that?? Poor Jillian has had several litters of kittens before she came to the shelter. She is just a baby herself!!! She acts like one too! She is cuddly and loved every minute in my niece’s arms!!!!! This pretty girl just needs someone to love her like she deserves!! Thanks to the Shelby County No-Kill Mission she will never have to go through another pregnancy again!! She has also up to date on her shots and has tested negative for feline leukemia & fiv.

Please call the shelter ASAP!! 502-633-0009

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jillian, a Shelbyville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Shelbyville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Shelbyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shelbyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shelbyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shelbyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
