Maxie's Story...
What a happy face! How can you resist this gorgeous little girl? This is Maxie and she is a very sweet collie/shepherd who is a little over a year old and appox. 50 lbs. She was always kept chained (guess her owners didn't grasp the concept of "family dog") so the other dogs would come up and pick on her. Well, lucky for Maxie she has been freed and is now living in a loving TN foster home with lots of other dogs with whom she plays really well. She's been around kids and has been great with them. Maxie currently uses the doggie door, but knows to go to the bathroom in only one side of her crate, so housetraining should be easy with this smart little gal. Maxie is spayed and up to date on all age appropiate vaccinations. All dogs are started on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Maxie's adoption fee is $400. If you'd like to open your home to this beauty, please go to www.rescueangels.org and fill out our online Adoption Application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxie, a Braintree Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Braintree, or seeking a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Braintree.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Braintree already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Braintree breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Braintree paves the way for another one to be saved.
