Tinker's Story...
Tinker was rescued from Death Row at a local kill shelter; he caught our eye because he was wrestling with all his larger cagemates (and winning!). But he has developed into an inky, smooth, suave guy with one white whisker and a quarter-sized patch of white hairs on his chest. In the afternoon sun, his fur shines in a sable hue! About 3 years old, he loves hanging with his cat buddies but is just as comfortable laying on your chest. And a canine roomie wouldn't bother him in the least! Tinker has had 3 inquiries, but all have been at Halloween so, for his safety, we wouldn't consider them! Surely, someone can see past superstition and recognize black cats are just like the others, oftentimes EVEN MORE personable and friendly, as if they're saying, "Hey, don't view me as a Halloween decoration... I'm your furrever furrend!!!!"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tinker, a Delmont Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Delmont, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Delmont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delmont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delmont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delmont paves the way for another one to be saved.
