Fern is a very sweet and playful puppy with a watchful intelligence and an eager to please disposition. She learns quick and is always so happy when rewarded. She loves people and would thrive in a home with older kids or other friendly dogs to play with. Fern is learning all about being a puppy and is so much fun to have around! She will make a wonderful companion for any lucky family who is looking for a happy and loving pup to bring into their heart for life. Fern is only about 5 months old and already weighs about 40lbs, so it is likely she will be on the large side once fully grown. This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for CPR's Triple Event Weekend! First, CPR will be at Petland Discounts in Southbury, CT on Friday, August 3rd from 2pm-6pm. Then, CPR will be at Petco in Southington, CT on Saturday, August 4th from 10am-2pm. Lastly, CPR will be hosting an Open House at their adoption center located at 522 N. Georges Hill Rd in Southbury, CT on Sunday, August 5th from 10am-1pm. PRE-APPROVAL is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from SUNDAY'S event. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!
The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee.
If you are an MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
