My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Glee. She is a black Lab/Shepherd mix who is about 2 to 3 months old and weighs about 10 lbs as of today 3-10-09. Glee came into the shelter as a stray. She is a bit confused by how she got here, but if we can find her a home or rescue it will probably be the best thing that ever happened to her. This precious little girl has not had very good care as you can see by her protruding ribs and dull coat, but with a good wormer, some nutritious puppy chow, and lots of love and attention, this sweet little gal will blossom into a stunning beauty. Come meet Glee and see why we love her so much! But hurry, her time is running out……..

The animals at the shelter have five days to find a home. The Humane Society of Cherokee County, Inc., is the rescue and adoption agent for this shelter. We are trying to save as many animals as possible from this shelter by adoption. The $75 adoption fee includes all rabies, DHPP and bordatella vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, and heartworm test.

For a quick response and/or adoption appointment, email us at cherokeeshelter@gmail.com. The Cherokee County shelter is located in Gaffney, SC just a few minutes off I-85 and only about 20 miles northeast of Spartanburg, SC and about 50 miles southwest of Charlotte, NC.

We are very rescue-friendly and will work with reputable rescuers to get these animals to safety. Thank you for helping us to save the life of a homeless, unwanted, and soon to be killed, shelter animal!
