My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*********UPDATE***********I am doing much better now!! I am gaining weight and looking more like my beautiful self! I do fine on leash now and am crate trained and almost housetrained. I love dogs and am very interested in cats (But learning they are not that big of a deal)! I am going to spend a full week with a wonderful dog trainer to learn some basic house manners, as no one ever cared enough to show me before! I weigh about 19 pounds now and am getting prettier every day! I love to cuddle next to my foster Mom on the couch! I will make someone a wonderful dog very soon! I am sweet and gentle and can't wait to go to my forever home!

Hello! My name is Gia! I was rescued from a rural kill shelter. I am a very sweet, timid girl. I want a family of my very own sooooooo much! I am very, very thin and due to malnutrition have lost some of my pretty Chocolate Brown coat. My foster Mom is feeding me really good food now, so I should be looking great again in no time at all. I am a good girl and don't understand why no one wanted me any more! I wait to potty until my foster Mom takes me outside on leash. The leash is a little scary, but my foster Mom is teaching me very gently that there is nothing to fear and I am getting the hang of it already! I like to talk to everyone, but I prefer yodeling to barking! How cute! My foster Mom says I am an interesting girl with my pretty Amber eyes and cute curly tail! She thinks I am a Sighthound, but she doesn't know for sure what kind. I wish I could tell her! The people who had me before didn't look after me well and it looks like they bred me while I am still so young. Only a year or so! To young to be a Mom, I think! But I am spayed now! Yeah!
My foster Mom is still getting to know me and is giving me time to heal from my spay surgery and malnutrition. I like to see the other dogs very much and wag my curly tail like crazy. I can't wait to play with them. I've tried to play with the cats in the house on leash, but they don't seem to want to play with me. My foster Mom thinks I'll do just fine with all the animals here though, because I am so small and sweet! Only 14 pounds and I'm full grown! Contact My Foster Mom Stephanie, email fletchpizza1@aol.com for more information or too meet me!
