My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a house trained, sweet, gorgeous and friendly blue bully then Marie is your dream dog. She learned to sit for treats very quickly and will continue to do well learning commands because she is super smart. Marie is about 4 years old and 60 pounds of solid pibble. She is fostered with several dogs of all sizes and ranges of bossiness and does great with all of them - she is vocal when she plays but that's part of her bully charm. Marie loves being a couch potato and getting snuggles and will happily flop over for belly rubs. Her tail was broken at some point before she came to us but it doesn't bother her and isn't very noticeable - just kicks to the side a bit. She is a strong dog and isn't a runaway train on a leash but isn't perfect either - the 10 year old can handle her but the 7 year old can't. This silly girl will learn fast though and enjoys going everywhere with you! The only flaw we've found is that, well, she is crate-trained in that she has no accidents in the crate. However, she is not crate-trained in the sense that for the first 15 minutes of crating her, we've found she will robustly sing you the song of her people - her people apparently being a veritable mash-up of a 12 year old's first recorder performance, the despondent yet persistent warbling (yes warbling - not quite a yodel but close) of a tropical bird, and Chewbacca (audio available upon request). Fortunately, she is a pretty trustworthy house guest so if Song of My People isn't the track you are looking for, you shouldn't need to crate her much. It should keep would-be burglars away because you can hear it from the driveway, so probably not a good apartment dog if you enjoy your current apartment, but great for anyone who loves the added benefit of a dog for security (while she wouldn't be any real protection practically speaking, they don't have to know that). She isn't wild and she isn't a total couch potato either - she's playful but settles down in the house and I would say she has a perfect energy level and could keep up with you on hikes and such just fine. She truly is a gem and while she apparently had a very crappy first years of her life, it has not affected her sunny disposition and silly charm one bit! Also Marie requests that her new owner at least occasionally rock her like a baby, feed her cheetos and tell her what a good girl she is, so I had to throw that in there, because she has us trained pretty well - told you she was smart! She can also facetime with any approved applicants upon request. :)
