Velvet's Story...
My name is Velvet I’m thankful to be off the streets before winter hits! It gets cold out there...especially at night. Now I have a nice place to stay and maybe even a chance for a forever home someday in the near future! I spend my days relaxing and thinking positive that one day I’ll have a family and a place to call home. I’m a sweet girl and I can make friends pretty easy, just ask my roommate Mittens we get along great. I can be pretty shy at first but if you are the right person I’ll warm right up. I’ve had a home once but just like my roomie, my owners moved and couldn’t take me with them. That’s pretty common around here….I would never leave you and if I had to move I would take you with me…is there anyone out there that would the same?? Please give me a chance to be part of your family and I promise I won’t let you down…

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Velvet, a Missoula Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Missoula, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Missoula.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Missoula already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Missoula breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Missoula paves the way for another one to be saved.
