Percy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Percy's Story...
Percy is a 3 year old purebred Cardigan Welsh Corgi who needs a new home due to the onset of diabetes. He is medically stable with tiny doses of insulin twice daily at 8 am and 5 pm. This is a lifelong condition and shouldn't shorten his lifespan as long as he receives his insulin. Percy is a FANTASTIC, funny, loving, loyal dog. He has a great personality and is really enjoying playing with the big dog in his foster home. In fact, he is losing some weight due to hours of playing both inside and out. He is gentle with the small dogs and hasn't been around cats. Percy does not need to be crated; his indoor manners are perfect. He is dependably house trained and should be let out about every 4-6 hours. He goes 10 hours at night without needing to go outside. Percy is playful, just loves chewing his kong and other toys and never chews people things. He has never lived with children. As he is a herding breed, he would be better with older kids, like 10 and up. Percy is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on prevention, and comes with a supply of insulin, syringes, and detailed care instructions. His adoption fee is negotiable to the right family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Percy, a Osseo Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Osseo, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Osseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Osseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Osseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Osseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
