introducing Caleb the Charmer, a new resident at the shelter. He's a lovely fellow, approx. 7 years old and approx. 60 lbs. A tall lanky dude, Caleb is light on his feet and has all the right moves. He likes to flirt with the girl dogs, seems to be ok with the guys too, and has won over the hearts of his caretakers. (that only took about 30 seconds!) The tail is always wagging on this boy. We discovered all this in his first day with us, and we'll know even more about him in a bit.
if you'd like to meet Caleb or any of our other pets, please email us here: for an adoption application to get the process started. Appointments scheduled after we receive your information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Caleb the Charmer, a Marseilles Greyhound/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound/Collie for sale in Marseilles, or seeking a Greyhound/Collie dog from a breeder in Marseilles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marseilles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marseilles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound/Collie breeders who help with Greyhound/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marseilles paves the way for another one to be saved.
