Sophia's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Sophia's Story...
Sophia is around 7 years old. Sophia is healthy and microchipped. She is overweight but is on the "Biggest Loser" weight reduction program. She enjoys walks around the block and will even try to run. Sophia is a social basset and needs another dog or human companionship in her home since she does not like to be left alone. She loves to ride in the car and she's housebroken. Sophia is not a picky eater and loves almost any food, especially chewy bones, although she can get protective of her food & treats. She also enjoys carrots and raw veggies for snacks. Sophia is not destructive and will not tear up the house. She enjoys other dogs and really craves attention. She'd behave well in an aprtment or condo because she's just one step above "couch potato" - not real active - and she's fairly quiet. This sweet girl really wants a home where she can be included in everything that's happening.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophia, a Marietta Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
