Allie's Story...
Allie is a beautiful dilute calico Maine Coon mix. She is approximately 5 years old.

Allie’s former owner has cancer. She lost her job and was in the process of losing her home. Unable to afford even the medications to fight her cancer, this woman sadly was forced to find new homes for her 5 cats. A former Stray Cat Blues volunteer heard her story and asked us to help.

Allie is super friendly, edging close to the cage door for petting. She gets along well with other cats and has also lived with dogs. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Allie, a Colmar Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
