Nellie's Story...
Cute, cute, cute! That's all I hear when I meet new people! I am a yellow Lab mix girl, so of course I'm cute! I'm also smart and friendly and I love everyone! Life wasn't always so nice for me. I was hit by a car and left for dead. The rescue group got me fixed up and now I'm living with a great foster home where I get loads of attention. I'm only four to five months old, so I'm still very much a puppy. The other dogs in my foster home are teaching me all about being a fine dog. The vets don't think I'll have any long term consequences of my unfortunate car incident and I barely remember it myself. I was sore for a bit and had some scrapes and bruises but I've recovered so easily! I'm sweet and silly and consider myself very lucky to be in this rescue group where I'm told some of the finest people in the world search for dogs!

We require an application, phone interview and home visit prior to adoption. We will not discuss a specific dog with an applicant until the adoption process is completed. Our adoption fee for dogs under 9 months is $250, dogs between 9 months and 8 years is $195 and our super seniors are $175. Please visit our website for more information. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a Evergreen Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Evergreen, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Evergreen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evergreen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evergreen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evergreen paves the way for another one to be saved.
