My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chloe is an 8 year old silver female. She is a very sweet dogs with a big heart. Her previous owners are going through a divorce and neither one could afford to keep her. She only has one eye. She is with Cassandra Salmond in Eustis, Fl. caseyweim@gmail.com
Chloe Update 3/29/09
Chloe is settling in to her new foster home quite well. She’s got the hang of the outside normal doggy door and is learning the inside bi-fold doggy door. Chloe has the in part down but not the out part.

She loves toys and always has something in her mouth. She found Jack’s stash of toys and loves his Booda squeaky toys. She needs a nail trim and she takes two people. It’s horrible weather here so no neighbor to snag to help me hold her. I’ve gotten 2 toes done but not worth the energy holding her down. She’s not bad just a two person job.

She’s eating in a crate and is completely okay with it. She lays down after she’s done eating and waits to be let out. She only whines after the rest of my guys do.

She loves to retrieve outside and inside the house. I’ve not heard the ACL do anything.

She’s great with my dogs and is not afraid of them. She’s right there when it’s feeding time and medicine time. She licks the same spoon with them, etc. She won’t go and get her toy if it has rolled near them. She’s cautious of that … it’s a good thing.

She’s definitely house trained and has had no accidents. She scratches at the door to go out until she’s mastered the inside doggy door.

I’ll get some pictures today of her and send them out but she definitely needs to go to a good home with someone that wants to play.

Information on Chloe is as follows:
D.O.B. 11/21/2000 – Spayed – Microchiped - Vaccines current - Heartworm preventive - currently on Revolution.
Have never tried to crate her.
She is housebroken.
She is good with kids, she just doesn't show much interest in them if they aren't throwing something for her to retrieve.
She is good with other dogs. We have had her to the dog park on 17th Street and she doesn't pay much attention to the other dogs. Just explores and retrieves. She did well with our lab. They were together for two years.
We have not had her around cats except to occasionally see one outside when we are walking. I would say if she were unrestrained, the chase would be on.
Bad habits - barking at noises she hears outside (when she is inside).
She has a little problem with urinary incontinence and therefore we have her on Proin 50. When this happens, it is when she is sleeping so it definitely is not a behavioral issue.
