Sookie's Story...
Sookie is a gorgeous 7-year-old purebred sealpoint Ragdoll with beautiful blue eyes and a playful spirit. We love her long, curly ear tufts! Sookie is sensitive & shy, and she longs for a permanent indoor-only home with a special someone who can be very patient and gentle with Sookie until she learns to trust you. Sookie has been surrendered by her owners because she is very stressed out by another dominant cat in the home, so we think she would do best as an only pet, or with other non-dominant female cats. She is also NOT recommended for homes with young children. Indoor-only home is required and declawing is prohibited by our adoption contract. We do not ship cats and must meet all applicants prior to adoption. If you are interested in adoption, please fill out our preliminary screening application here: http://ragdollrescue.com/application.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sookie, a Keizer Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Keizer, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Keizer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Keizer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Keizer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Keizer paves the way for another one to be saved.
