Jack Frost's Story...
Jack Frost is a 14 week old puppy (born on New Year's Eve) who is a part of a littler with a Boxer Mom and a mystery Dad. She was born in the shelter in Georgia before we could arrange to have the Mom and her litter transported to Maine, where she and her brothers and sisters are currently being fostered.
Update from the foster:
3/17/09 - Well the puppies are now ten weeks old and have been to the vet for their second set of shots. I also have new weights on them all. Jack Frost now weighs in at 16lbs 9ozs. Jack is just a big goof ball that wants to be loved. Every time I turn around I find him sitting quietly. gazing up at me lovingly. He has this way of looking at you that makes you feel like he adores you. Jack is hard to explain in writing. He is a puppy that needs to be met in person to be fully appreciated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack Frost, a Woolwich Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Woolwich, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Woolwich.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woolwich already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woolwich breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woolwich paves the way for another one to be saved.
