Fara * Outdoors's Story...
Hi there- I'm FARA! I'm an adorable long-hair kitty waiting to find an outdoor home to call my very own. I am about 7 months old. I am spayed, up to date on shots, tested negative for both FIV and Feline Leukemia and I have been treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms. I prefer to fnd an outdoor home that has at least one other cat- as I really like to socialize and play. I love the outdoor life and do not want to adjust to life as an indoor kitty. I am very timid around people because of my tough past- but if I have the freedom of the outdoors and a feline friend nearby- I am as happy as can be! (I love to catch mice outdoors too!) I am patiently waiting to find a home to call my very own. My dream home will be outdoors, with a large barn or structure for me to play/sleep in to keep out of the elements- and a home that has a lot of room to run around (where I don't have to be scared about being hit by a car or people hurting me)... I really hope to have at least one other outdoor cat at my new home too- as I love to play around!

I prefer not to be held. After some time, if you show me I can trust you I will come near you and you can pet me- but because of my tough past, it takes me time to trust new people. I am adorable and waiting to find a great outdoor home. If you are interested in adopting me, please contact the good people at Advocates 4 Animals today! I can't wait to find a home!

Please note, if you have outdoor dogs- please be sure that they are friendly to cats (and will not chase them) prior to adopting a feline.

***Special Notice: Upon adoption, adopter agrees to no elective surgeries (ie: declaw) for this pet. ***

Please contact Advocates 4 Animals today or complete the online ADOPTION APPLICATION! I can't wait to meet you!

***Please note, cats are extremely routine oriented pets. It may take 4-8 weeks to fully adjust to a new home environment. Please remember to be patient when bringing a new feline to your home. ***

Please contact Advocates 4 Animals to begin the adoption process or complete the online ADOPTION APPLICATION! .
1. A phone or e-mail interview will be conducted
2. If approved, an Advocates 4 Animals member will contact you and schedule a 'meet & greet' with the adoptable pet
The 'meet & greet' will be held at your home.
3. At that time of the home visit, we will assess if the pet(s) is a good match for both the family/individual adopting the pet and the home environment.

Please note:
-All individuals living in the home must agree to adopt the pet into their home. All members of the home should be present during the 'meet & greet'-- including additional pets who live in the home.
If Advocates 4 Animals determines that the pet is not a good fit for the potential adopter, this will be discussed at the time of the home visit.
Every pet is different. Some pets have highly specialized needs (ie: type of environment, other pets, etc.) while others adjust easily to various environments. Felines typically take 4-8 weeks to begin adjusting to their new home. All pets have been housed in foster homes while they wait to find a home to call their very own. All adoptable rescue pets are up to date on shots, treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms and have been spayed/neutered.
-Advocates 4 Animals requires an adoption donation fee of $25.00 for outdoor felines. The adoption donation assists us in rescuing and rehabilitating additional homeless pets. Our organization is run solely on donations and with volunteers. Without your support we could not continue our efforts!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fara * Outdoors, a Xenia Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
