Omie's Story...
Omie, a petite 4 year-old Great Pyrenees, is a fantastic house guest. This little lady knows how to behave and really minds her manners! Omie is excellent with children and greatly enjoys the gentle attention they give her. She has earned the nick name of “Love Sponge” because of how calmly she sits and soaks up the love she is given. Omie gets along very well with other dogs and cats and she would do well with another calm dog to share the time with. Omie definitely barks to warn you of any perceived threats-from falling leaves to predators. Omie has a great time chasing around her yard but is very gentle not to knock anyone down and she knows to mellow out as soon as she enters the house. She really enjoys walks and car rides. Omie has the loveliest brown eyes that are so expressive. Omie is such a good girl and would make an awesome new family member to a family with a fenced in yard who can share their time and love with her.

An adoption application, site visit, visible secure fencing, and an adoption fee are required to adopt Omie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Omie, a Minneapolis Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
