Bitsy's Story...
3/17/09: Bitsy is in a foster home and is doing very well. She has started heartworm treatment! Check back for more updates soon!

1/15/09: This is Bitsy! She is the sweetest and most precious little Beagle girl who would LOVE to come home with you. She was dropped off at the shelter by a hunter who found her in the field. She is about 6-7 years old if we had to guess. Sadly, Bitsy has tested positive for heartworms. She needs some doggy angels to help her with funding as well as to find her a foster/forever home. Please call Joan at 870-739-5412 or 870-739-1145. Allison may also be reached at 901-240-9848. Please help this sweet soul!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bitsy, a Marion Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Marion, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
