LORENZO came from one of the toughest shelters in LA City...South Central. This wonderful, 17 lb, 3 yr old, Lhasa Maltese, has been through hell. He was either hit by a car or badly injured in some way...and when he could no longer walk, he was dumped in the shelter. Xrays showed that Lorenzo had a broken elbow and because it was an older injury, we were told it would be a complicated surgery. Poor baby. Once Lorenzo got over a severe case of kennel cough, bordering on pneumonia, the was done...twice, no less, and Lorenzo has been a trouper through it all. Doc didn't like the way his leg healed the first time, so he repeated the surgery to make sure Lorenzo could walk! This young man loves to play, loves to romp, loves to be with you and other dogs and is a little white shadow! He is affectionate and loves attention (but doesn't demand it). One loves to give him lots of love and he eats it up, he is such a snuggler! He does favor his once injured elbow at times, but it doesn't stop him for a moment! He just loves his walks and to be with you!! He will alert you to strangers and can be vocal...but he's just communicating!! He has a wonderful temperament and you could not find a happier dog. Might you have a place in your heart and your home for this little lovebug?? OK with kids over 8 yrs old. Lorenzo is housetrained but will mark -- so no guarantees!!
